A Letter To Future Me (and to whoever might need to hear this)

Hi Sis, 

You’re here reading this because you need to be reminded of an ultimate truth. 

So roll up your hoodie sleeves, grab that favourite mug of yours and settle down.

You made the right choice.

Now me right now in the past might not know all the details of what is making you currently worry, 

or what scenario you’re rehashing in your head, 

or what you think you might be missing out on because you didn’t stay in a situation, 

but I know the reason I’m writing this letter in this moment. 

And you know the reason you’ve headed over here to read this. 

So in regards to this moment, and whatever you’re going through currently, you know you didn’t need to be involved in that situation.

You know that regardless of how things might be going on over there right now, you’re ok where you are, on your path. 

And you know that the joy and happiness you feel now would have been hampered if you stayed in that situation.

That doesn’t mean there is love lost, or that you’re bad-mind. Even if you feel jealousy at times, or realise there are things you could have done better, use that as an opportunity to learn, grow and develop even more. 

Everyone can be ok, 

doing things in their own lane, 

at their own pace.

Now go and do that thing that you paused to read this. And don’t worry, I’ll be here next time.
